MPTOM
My Minds’ Playing tricks on me! Like a Ghetto Boy’s song. I wonder if this has happened to any other Ganjier. I was given a sample of a flower cultivar that was labeled PP. Upon inquisition of what the PP meant, for assessment purposes. I was led by a pack of seeds with the name Princess Peach written on the bag. As a Ganjier, when we perform an assessment, we use a proprietary systematic assessment protocol, we call SAP. The SAP assessment has four categories; which are Aroma, Appearance, Flavor and Experience. But before we can begin an assessment, we must include some preliminary information. There is a section in the SAP application where the known data is entered. The mentioned section is titled “ Sample Data “ and this is the area where the cultivar name would be entered. I entered Princess Peach and from that point on, the remainder of the assessment was peachy to me. After speaking with the cultivator, I learned the cultivar was actually Purple Plasma ( PP ); which by no means had any peach terpenes. I was dumb founded. The next day I cleansed my palate and began a new assessment of the cultivar and received some flavor notes I had not received from the previous assessment. Not only that. There was no peach present. This gave me greater understanding of how the mind works when it has been pre – programmed.
As a Ganjier I have realized that for a competition, the assessment of flower and all other sample categories, for assessment should always be identified by a number alone. If the assessment service for a retail client or cultivator, the name of the sample and as much lab test result information as possible is necessary. The more information your client provides you, the better the assessment. The information gathered in advance will equate to the best assessment. Misinformation and preconceived notions will definitely lead to a different outcome than expected; which could cause the client you are servicing to have a negative business impact.
Cultivar Review: Purple Plasma by CannaQueen Genetics
Sorry for all the mumbo jumbo. Now on to the Purple Plasma. This cultivar didn’t have the best trim. It was a bit under trimmed in my opinion but this is one of the reasons the trichome heads where so visible and and also why I could see the distinguishable haze characteristics. This Purple Plasma phenotype, bred and grown by CannaQueen Genetics, was grown in Bio 360 organic soil and rainwater indoors. Unlike the name I didn’t really see purple in this sample. The bug was forrest green with reddish orange hairs and covered in trichome heads. The bud structure was firm but in the tradition of the haze family. The fullness of trichome heads made the sample appealing at first glance. But The jar pop came first. I gave it another try, so even though I did an initial review the second pop still aroused my senses. The Purple Plasma has notes of astringent chemical, strawberry, cinnamon, lavender, earth and fuel. The flavor upon dry hit supported my nose and I received the same notes I smelled but a bit stronger. It was a full bodied smoke with that purple haze taste from back in the day, reminiscent of the Florida Crippie; which is a South Florida bread cultivar and strong building block to some currently popular.
This Purple flavor profile was enjoyable through the duration of the smoke. I prepared 1.5 grams of the Purple Plasma flower using an Element paper for consumption. The experience was definitely that of a Haze. I immediately received a burst of energy coupled with focus and motivation. Just when I thought I was stoned a second stoning came over me. I was truly amazed. This Purple Plasma is a nice wake and bake get work done cultivar grown with conscious care and love. I can’t wait to review more cultivars bred and grown by CannaQueen Genetics.
Sincerely, Caribborida Ganjier
